Gallery of European and American art of the XIX-XX centuries
The permanent exposition of the Gallery presents artworks by the masters of Modern Era and Contemporaneity. The beginning of the XIX century is represented by the paintings of Goya, Friedrich, Delacroix, Gericault, and Ingres, works by French landscape painters – Corot,and Barbizon artists: Rousseau, Dupre, Troyon, and Daubigny. The notion on the art of that time is contributed with representatives of the English school: Constable, Lawrence. Separate halls are devoted to realistic artists: Courbet, Millet, Daumier, as well as to the participants of the Paris Salon: Gerome, Delaroche, and Isabey. The genuine treasure on display is the collection of French impressionists and postimpressionists: Monet, Renoir, Degas, Cezanne, Gauguin, and Van Gogh.In the halls of the Gallery, one can also see sculptural works by Rodin, Maiollol, Bourdelle, Manzu, Zorach, Botero, Arman, and Arp. | |||
